Sophia is a comic book artist and illustrator living and working in New York City. She received her BAs in Art and English from the College of William and Mary and her MFA in Illustration from The School of Visual Arts.  Her work has been featured in publications such as Time Out New York, The L Magazine, Rabid Rabbit, TopShelf 2.0, gURL.com and The Daily Crosshatch. She is also a recipient of a Xeric Foundation Grant with which she self-published The Deformitory a graphic novel about a dormitory where the fantastically deformed seek supposed sanctuary.  The Deformitory is now available in comics stores across the country and Sophia is busy with her new series, The Lettuce Girl.  You can reach her at sophia.wiedeman@gmail.com.
